My name is Dawna Davis and I am thrilled to share my passion in designing and hand crafting unique wire and gem jewelry creations.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. However, Hermosa Beach, California had been my home for the past 29 years, a home where I had found warm, year-long sun for nurturance, a peaceful ocean to soothe my Pisces soul, and an environment open to adventure and new learning. Recently though I have moved back to the Boston area where I have loving family and friends, a place where I feel I now need to be and a place where I can continue to create and share my jewelry designs. Though I have physically left California much of my jewelry will stay behind and will remain in various galleries and shops in both California and New Mexico.
I have had several varied careers and have travelled extensively. Admittedly, I have the wanderlust. All of these experiences have helped me understand how lucky I am to be where I am in my life, to have been where I have been, and to see more clearly where I want to be.... back where it all began and continuing to nurture my desire to design and craft jewelry.
Each of my jewelry pieces is new and unlike the one crafted before it. It has always been a joy to see a finished piece for the first time, my vision becoming reality. At first it was hard to sell my jewelry and I only made bracelets or cuffs or earrings - pieces I could wear myself. But you have to eat! So, now I carefully inspect, fine tune and polish my work and hope their new owner(s) will love them as much as I do. I take great care to choose the finest materials. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, using only high quality semi-precious gemstones, Swarovski crystals, Sterling silver and 14K gold filled metals.
